| Description: |
The
objective of the proposal is to enhance physics education/awareness
at the high school level and to highlight the permeation
of physics in society through the development of a
prototype "Electromagnetism Module" aimed
at eleventh and twelfth graders. The module will be
offered at SUNY Buffalo through summer internships
to selected students from Buffalo-area inner city
high schools over two summer sessions - August 1998
and July 1999. The proposal is a cooperative effort
between the PI and Buffalo-area Engineering Awareness
for Minorities (BEAM), a non-profit and voluntary
organization located on the campus of SUNY at Buffalo. |
