The underlying purpose is for the intern to further the awareness of the Meggers Award itself, ensuring better proposals in the future, as well as providing high school teachers with better tools and knowledge. More specifically, the intern will concentrate on accomplishing the following three goals, listed by priority.

1. To build a Meggers Project Award website with appropriate links
2. To expand the SPS Outreach Catalyst Kit (SOCK) program ti include a selection of high school physics teachers and students (the Meggers SOCKs)
3. To expand the Careers Using Physics (CUP) project awareness to a selection of high school physics departments and teachers
